La Locanda del Toro è un piccolo Hotel con servizio ristorante a richiesta degli ospiti. Si trova all'interno del Podere Casanova, un antico complesso composto da quelli che un tempo erano casa colonica, fienili e un piccolo forno. Il tutto è stato recentemente restaurato, nel rispetto della tipologia architettonica e dei materiali originari, ma allo stesso tempo ricercando la massima efficienza energetica.

Il proprietario è stato il papà di numerose Lamborghini, tra cui la Countach. Il nome della Locanda non è infatti casuale e deriva dall’amicizia e stima reciproca che Paolo Stanzani ha sempre avuto con la Casa del Toro e ovviamente dalla sua passione per i motori.
L’Ingegner Stanzani comincia a collaborare con la Lamborghini nel 1962 e nel 1966 insieme a Dallara e Gandini realizza la mitica Miura. Diventa poi direttore e nel 1974 realizza il suo primo progetto da solo, appunto la Countach. Mentre è ancora in Lamborghini, progetta la concept BMW Turbo, nata per celebrare le Olimpiadi di Monaco nel 1972. In seguito alla cessione dell'azienda da parte di Ferruccio, decide di lasciare la Casa del Toro e dedicarsi ad altri progetti. Nel 1990 progetta la Bugatti EB110, l’auto di serie più veloce del mondo. Nel 1991 debutta in F1 con la Dallara Scuderia Italia, poi fusa con la Minardi, e continua questa avventura fino al 1995. Dopo l'avventura nel Circus fonda una società che progetta impianti di produzione di energia da fonti rinnovabili. Alcuni anni fa acquista il Podere, allora azienda agricola, e ne promuove il recupero.

Presso la Locanda vi accoglieranno Mirella e Chiara. Mirella si dedica agli ospiti e alla preparazione delle colazioni, sfornando quotidianamente piatti della tradizione locale. Chiara, che ha progettato e diretto la ristrutturazione del complesso, gestisce le prenotazioni e gli eventi.

Locanda del Toro is a family-run Hotel with dinner service on request. It lies within the Podere Casanova, an ancient farmhouse with barns and a small oven. All the buildings have been restored respecting the architectural style and the original materials, as well as a search for the maximum energy efficiency.
The owner was the father of many Lamborghini, including the Countach. In fact, the name of the Locanda comes from a lifetime friendship and mutual respect that engineer Paolo Stanzani had with the Lamborghini Company and, of course, by his passion for cars. Mr Stanzani began to collaborate with Lamborghini in 1962 and in 1966 realized the legendary Miura with Giampaolo Dallara and Marcello Gandini. After becoming director, in 1974 he came up with his first solo project, the Countach. While still in Lamborghini, he designed the BMW Turbo concept, created to celebrate the Munich 1972 Olympics. Following the sale of the company by Ferruccio, he decided to leave the House of the Bull and to pursue other projects. In 1990 he designed the Bugatti EB110, the fastest production car in the world. In 1991 he made his debut in F1 with Dallara Scuderia Italia, later merged with Minardi Team, and followed this project until 1995. After the Circus, he founded a company for energy production from renewable sources. A few years ago Mr Stanzani acquired this manor, and promoted its restoration.
At the Locanda you will be received by Mirella, who is dedicated to the guests and to the preparation of the breakfast, daily baking off traditional cakes and pastries, and Chiara, who designed and directed the renovation of the complex, and now takes care of reservations and events.
